Charity
wine auctions are a great source for rare and unusual bottlings. While
prices can get quite steep at the big name live auctions (although you
shouldn't forget the tax breaks, nor the karmic returns on your philanthropic
self indulgences.. ), it is often well worth checking out the attendant
silent auctions for more affordable gems. May May
1st to 8th: All sorts
of wine & food & art & music events happen all the time at
the Napa Valley
Museum and the Culinary
Institute of America. For regular Music, Theater and other non wine
related listings try: Lincoln
Theater (Yountville), Napa
Valley Opera House (Napa), Cameo
Cinema (St Helena), Uva
(Napa), Calistoga
Inn , The White
Barn (St Helena), Silo's
Jazz Club (Napa) |
