The reception at Rubicon Estate last Sat. for the launch of our DVD was wonderful. It was a great honor to have Larry Stone plan this event for us and to introduce the DVD- he is a winner of the Paris "Best Sommelier in the World" competition. We thought the venue was extraordinarily appropriate as it combines a long history of innovation, a great winemaking tradition, beautiful architecture and legendary filmmaking, not to mention the joy of seeing it on a BIG screen and the opportunity for cast members to get together in the old Inglenook Chateau.

We have also enjoyed some good press in the St Helena Star this month, with a kind letter from Carolynne Gamble ("I love this extraordinary production and applaud their diligence and talent in producing the DVD") and a generous write up by George Starke ("stunning shots (mostly by Kerry) of wineries and scenic views of the valley. The DVD would make a great gift for friends who plan to visit the Valley.")

Our pre-release offering in the UK is being well received, and we will continue to offer it there at the dollar price + $5 shipping for the next couple of months, (this represents about a 25% discount thanks to the exchange rate).

If you scroll down you will find our calendar for MAY, listing wine auctions and other Napa Valley wine related events around the country.

Calendar for May

Charity wine auctions are a great source for rare and unusual bottlings. While prices can get quite steep at the big name live auctions (although you shouldn't forget the tax breaks, nor the karmic returns on your philanthropic self indulgences...), it is often well worth checking out the attendant silent auctions for more affordable gems.
We make no guarantees that this calendar is comprehensive, but would be very grateful for any suggestions of upcoming events that we should know about.

May 1st to 5th: 6 Auctions, 11 Local Events
May 6th to 12th: 2 Auctions, 13 Local Events
May 13th to 19th: 3 Auction, 10 Local Events
May 20th to 26th: No Auctions, 8 Local Events
May 27th to 31st: No Auctions, 3 Local Events
